The technology at Heyaru is duplicated to recreate the exact conditions vital to grow a natural diamond not under, but above the surface of Earth.
These grown diamonds are created using two methods:
-
Chemical Vapour Deposition (CVD)
-
High Pressure High Temperature (HPHT)
Chemical Vapour Deposition (CVD)
The chemical vapour disposition method can grow diamonds in labs with this simple yet expensive technology. More complicated and expensive than the HPHT method, the CVD works at lower pressures exposing multiple diamond seeds to a carbon rich environment. Under favourable conditions, carbon starts depositing, while the diamond seeds accept the available carbon and thus the process of crystallization starts naturally.
High pressure High Temperature (HPHT)
With the HPHT method, we could grow large size diamonds at a relatively viable difference than the CVD method, with the help of commonly available technology. The only drawback of this technology is that it could not grow the highly desired colourless Type IIa high purity single crystal diamonds. Clear colourless diamonds are not possible with this method because of a catalyst used that causes brown-orange tinge, not sought after by the market.
IIa technology is unmatched in the quantity and quality of CVD diamonds and the customer’s desired customization for their product!
